Modern symptom: Lose of relatedness

自我中心(self centred)不是失去連繫(lose of relatedness)的結果,反之亦然。而是來自自我保護及保存的一種嘗試。否則,一種冒然的開放,將會使個體超載(overloading)而面臨困擾,甚或解離。因此,人在自我保存與邁出之間,選擇了前者。

涅槃解惑 ─ 《佛陀的啟示》

涅槃不是任何東西的結果 認為涅槃是絕滅貪愛的自然結果,那是錯誤的。涅槃不是任何東西的結果。如果它是一個結果,它就是由某種因緣所得的效應。那它就是緣生的而為有條件的存在。但是涅槃既非因亦非果,它是超越因果的。真理不是一個結果,也不是一種效應。它不是一種神秘的心靈或思想的狀態,猶如禪定一般。真理就是真理。涅槃就是涅槃。你惟一想知道它的方法是親見親證。有路可通涅槃,但是涅槃並不是這條路的結果。你可以沿一條小徑到達一座山,但那山卻不是那條路的結果或效應。你可以看見一道光明,但是光明並不是你目力的結果。

存在與本質

對人而言,存在是一種偶然,而非某某的命定。 這種偶然的存在以一種「被拋擲於此」的方式出現。人是被拋擲的,那麼拋擲者是誰? 「被拋擲於此」的偶然存在,是沒有被設定的本質1,人生因而是虛無的。且呈現為一種無以明狀的焦慮感(anxiety)。要爭脫或超克這種的狀態,人得為自己的存在賦於內容與本質,否則我們將被文化與環境所主宰,失去了個人的能動性 ─ 這過程稱之為「選擇」。

I see violence exists everywhere…it exists within a person, within a relationship, between human and its environment. Sometimes it exercises brutally, but sometimes it dresses up itself in a very attractive outlook, we call it ‘love’ and/or ‘justice’. What does violence come from? I would say it comes from fear!
